Vaibhav Sooryavanshi produced a masterclass in chasing to shepherd Rajasthan Royals to a seven-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants in their Tata Indian Premier League match in Jaipur on Tuesday evening.
The Royals' captain, Yashasvi Jaiswal, won the toss and asked LSG to bat first.
Mitch Marsh played well to lead them to 220-5, but Sooryavanshi put his hitting skills on display as he steered the Royals to 225-3 in 19.1 overs.
Sooryavanshi struck 10 sixes and seven fours on his way to a 38-ball 93.

His effort eclipsed Marsh's 96 from 57 deliveries earlier in the evening.
The left-hander chose a watchful approach at the start of his innings, and was on five runs from 10 balls at one point.
The teenage sensation then struck 85 runs from the next 28 balls he faced. The 15-year-old took a back seat in his 75-run opening stand with Jaiswal (43).
Sooryavanshi took centre stage in his 95-run second-wicket stand with Dhruv Jurel though.
Their partnership, which spanned 7.3 overs, took the Royals to the brink of victory.
Jurel, who registered his fifth half-century of the season, maintained a cool head as he led his side over the finishing line with an unbeaten 53 from 38 balls.
He was with Donovan Ferreira (16*) at the end.

MARSH MAGIC
Earlier in the evening, Marsh got LSG going with a 109-run opening stand with Josh Inglis that lasted until the ninth over.
It was also LSG's most destructive. Inglis, who was the aggressor in the partnership, scored a brisk 29-ball 60.
The high-octane knock was ended by a Yash Raj Punja googly, which he misread. The wicket opened the door for a fightback from the Royals, and the hosts embraced it.
Their bowlers ensured that Nicholas Pooran (16) failed to get going and despite all his inventiveness, Rishabh Pant (35) just couldn't push the strike rate to the heights achieved by Marsh and Inglis in concert.
Marsh and Pant combined for a 64-run third-wicket stand. Both perished to run-outs. The first to depart was Pant, who was run-out by Jofra Archer at the start of the 20th over.
Marsh followed him four balls later, courtesy of a brilliant Yashasvi Jaiswal direct hit from long-off.

Yash Raj Punja was the most successful bowler in the match.
The Royals’ spinner finished with two wickets for 35 runs in four overs. Jofra Archer, who finished with a single wicket for 39 runs in four overs, bowled an outstanding final over that cost the hosts only five runs and set them up for an achievable chase.
The victory lifts the Royals into fourth place with one round of matches to go. The win keeps their playoff ambitions alive. They meet Mumbai in their next fixture.
LSG, on the other hand, remain in 10th place.
