Cape Verde have named their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals with most regular players earning selection.
Coach Pedro ‘Bubista' Brito unveiled his final squad on Monday, 17 May 2026, ahead of friendlies for the major tournament which Canada, the United States and Mexico will host.
The Blue Sharks will start the build up to the 2026 World Cup by playing friendlies against Serbia and Bermuda on 24 and 31 May 2026.
In a statement, the Cape Verde Football Federation said the Blue Sharks will
play the strength-building match against Serbia at Rastello Stadium in Portugal.
The second warm up against Bermuda is scheduled for Connecticut in the United States, where the World Cup will take place.
The Blue Sharks will compete at the World Cup starting off in the same group with Spain, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay. The global showpiece will run from 11 June to 19 July 2026.
