The Aragon Grand Prix returns to MotorLand Aragón, one of the most technical circuits on the MotoGP calendar.
The track has traditionally suited riders who excel in hard braking zones and fast direction changes, making it a favourite hunting ground for Marc Márquez, the most successful rider in Aragon history.
With the 2026 championship entering its second half, Aragon could be a pivotal round in the title fight as the leading contenders look to gain momentum before the flyaway races.
2026 CHAMPIONSHIP SITUATION
According to the latest standings heading into Aragon, the championship battle remains extremely close.
Official MotoGP information highlights Jorge MartÃn, Ai Ogura, Marco Bezzecchi and Marc Márquez among the leading contenders entering Round 13.
MAIN TITLE CONTENDERS
Jorge MartÃn (Aprilia) - Championship leader has been one of the most consistent riders this season.
Ai Ogura (Trackhouse Aprilia) - Enjoying a breakthrough premier-class campaign and remains firmly in title contention.
Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) - Multiple victories this year. Has helped make Aprilia a genuine championship force.
Marc Márquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) - Aragon has historically been one of his strongest circuits. He arrives as one of the weekend favourites despite a tight championship battle.
Aragon's layout has historically rewarded Márquez's riding style more than almost any other circuit, making him a logical favourite.
However, Aprilia's 2026 form means MartÃn, Bezzecchi and Ogura should all be genuine threats.
